Formula: Cr2O3
A versatile high firing colorant used in glazes to produce green
tints, generally opaque. In the presence of the following produces a
wide range of colours:zinc (tan/brown), lead (yellow/orange/red with
crystalline structure), iron (greys and occasionally blue), calcium
(grass green), cobalt and magnesium (blue green), tin (deep pink turning
to purple if boron included). Chrome oxide tend to black in reduction.
